FORDYCE Rites Saturday

LIBERTYVILLE - Mrs. Meta FORDYCE, 89, route 1, Libertyville, died unexpectedly at her home Tuesday.

Last rites will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Ross Winner officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday evening.

Mrs. Meta FORDYCE was born March 11, 1884, near Brookville, the daughter of Thomas and WARWICK LAUGHLIN. She was reared and educated in Jefferson County.

Her marriage to Oren S. FORDYCE took place in August, 1910, at Brookville. He preceded her in death in 1959.

Mrs. FORDYCE was a member of the Libertyville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tom, Muscatine, and Merwin, route 1, Batavia; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, two grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
