DANIELS Rites At Batavia

BATAVIA - Earl E. DANIELS, 71, resident of Batavia for the past 26 years, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ottumwa Hospital after an illness of the past three and a half years.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery.

Earl E. DANIELS was born Dec. 10, 1901, at Lancaster, Mo. He was the son of David and Annie SCHMITTER DANIELS. Daniels had lived at Lancaster and Downing, Mo., before moving to Batavia.

He was employed at the John Deere Co., in Ottumwa until his retirement in 1967. He was a member of the Peoples Church near Batavia.

His marriage to Mary RICHARD took place Sept. 21, 1923. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vena Lou HUGHELL, Batavia; Mrs. Nina Sue THOMAS, Carlisle; and Mrs. Roberta Mae BAKER, Hedrick. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl DAVIS, Downing, Mo.
