Mrs. Earcel E. SLATTERY, 85, 507 N. Main, died Saturday at 5 p.m., at the Long Tree Health Care Center. She had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill the past three weeks.
Last rites will be held Wednesday 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Karl Holtkamp officiating. Prayers for a Christian wake will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. SLATTERY was born Jan. 22, 1891 at Fairfield, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth COOP EASTON. On Oct. 28, 1920 she was married to Clarence A. SLATTERY.
She has lived in this community all of her life and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband; two sons and one daughter, Thomas SLATTERY of Iowa City, Richard SLATTERY of Menominee, Mich., and Mrs. Elizabeth McGARRY of Corona, Calif. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
