Michael Ray 'Mac' WINN

Michael Ray "Mac" WINN age 63, of Ollie passed away Sunday evening March 17, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Michael was born on July 12, 1949 in Sigourney, Iowa the son of Merlin Dean and Deloris Lillian (HESTON) WINN.

On March 20, 1971 at the Ollie Baptist Church in Ollie, Iowa, Michael and Connie Sue KLEINSCHMIDT were united in marriage. They shared over 41 years of marriage before Mac's passing and were blessed with three children: Joseph, Brittany and Raquel.

Mac was a self-employed dump truck owner and operator all his life. He owned and operated Mike Winn and Son Trucking. Mac was also a very talented man. He enjoyed working with and building old gas engines, helping his brother with bulldozer work, fishing, mushroom hunting, being at his shop and he was a member of the Ollie Baptist Church. He especially enjoyed his cabin along the Skunk River.

Mac is survived by his wife: Connie WINN of Ollie; their three children: Joseph WINN and wife Jessica of Fairfield, Brittany WINN and Jess COTTRELL of Ollie, Raquel WINN and Craig SMITH of Ollie; and Alicia ECKLEY of Fairfield; and 11 grandchildren: Tessa, Lee, Deanna, Damian, Chloe, Tory, Kaden, Mason, Nevaeh, Mia, and Blake. Mac is also survived by his two sisters: Deanna (Delbert) ESTES of Crawfordsville and Kathy (Don) CAVINESS of Knoxville; two brothers: Bob (Nancy) WINN of Ollie; and Bill (Peggy) WINN of Ollie; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dean and Deloris.

Mac's wishes were to be cremated with no planned services. A memorial has been established and may be given to Mac's family in care of Brittany WINN.
