KURTZ rites at Pleasant Plain

PLEASANT PLAIN - Mary Bernetta KURTZ, 74, Iowa City, died Wednesday in Iowa City after a brief illness.

Services were held Saturday at St. Joseph's Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Joe Rogers officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donohue-Lensing Funeral Home in Iowa City was in charge of arrangements.

Miss KURTZ was born April 10, 1913 in Pleasant Plain, the daughter of Joseph Veronica FRITZ KURTZ. She is survived by two sisters, Leona KRON of Iowa City, Bertha BERNDT of Coopersville, Mich., numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, Paul, preceded her in death.
