Loren Bruce SKAGEN

Loren Bruce SKAGEN, 49, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Fairfield. Interment will be at Prairie Cemetery in Packwood and a reception will follow.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. SKAGEN's name to the Delores Skagen Memorial Fund. Memorials may be sent to Village Baptist Church, 515 S. Frontenac St., Aurora, Ill., 60504.

Mr. SKAGEN was born Jan. 17, 1963, in Antioch, Calif., the son of Dick SKAGEN and Delores WILSON SKAGEN.

Mr. SKAGEN attended Naperville Central High School in Naperville, Ill.

He was a marketing executive and worked in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa during his career.

He enjoyed HO gauge trains, painting models, playing on the computer, the Chicago Bears, golf, baseball, reading, playing cribbage and making his wife happy.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his father; and sister: Marla SKAGEN VLACH.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
