Kathryn SCOVEL FORDYCE

Kathryn SCOVEL FORDYCE, age 82, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, died Thursday, December 25, 2003.

Born September 20, 1921, in Fairfield, Iowa, where her family had roots. She was the daughter of Calvin Loren and Byrl STEPHENSON SCOVEL. Kathryn was a 1943 graduate of Parsons College, from where her parents had previously graduated. In 1993, she attended the 50th graduation anniversary for her class at Parsons, held at the Fairfield Golf & Country Club, an event she was most proud to observe.

She had been in declining health for some time prior to her passing and had been a longtime resident of the Merrivista Senior Center in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her brother Calvin Loren SCOVEL Jr.

Survivors include her sons John FORDYCE of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Stephen Winfield FORDYCE of Traverse City, Michigan and daughter Deborah Ann CHAUFFIEL of Chelsea, Michigan, four grandchildren, Marsha and Jeffrey FORDYCE and Jessica and John CHAUFFIEL, her nephew Calvin Loren SCOVEL III and nieces Mildred SCOVEL RAWLINGS and Lauretta SCOVEL PFEIFER, two grandnieces and three grandnephews.

Arrangements for final interment are scheduled for a later date at Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.

Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Kathryn SCOVEL FORDYCE, 82, of Haverhill, Mass., died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. FORDYCE was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Fairfield, the daughter of Calvin Loren and Byrl STEPHENSON SCOVEL. She was a 1943 graduate of Parsons College.

Survivors include two sons, John Chevin FORDYCE of Indianapolis, Ind., and Stephen Winfield FORDYCE of Traverse City, Mich.; one daughter, Deborah Ann CAUFFIEL of Chelsea, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Calvin Loren SCOVEL Jr.
