Death Takes N. SWITZER

Norvell SWITZER, 81, former resident of Fairfield, died Monday evening, Nov. 8, after he became ill while attending a church board meeting in Clearwater, Fla. He died a short time later in a hospital at Clearwater. He was a resident of Largo, Fla.

SWITZER was employed in the accounting department of the Louden Machinery Co. for 45 years. Following his retirement he and Mrs. SWITZER moved to Florida in 1960.

He was serving as president of the First Christian Church board at the time of his death. He had also served as finance chairman of the church when the new sanctuary was built, and had recently been elected elder emeritus.

Norvell SWITZER was born Feb. 1, 1895, in Fairfield, the son of Owen and Kate NORVELL SWITZER. He married Ruth E. DAVIS April 29, 1917, in Fairfield.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leland CREW, Fairfield; two grandsons; and a brother, Leo, Galesburg, Ill. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter and two brothers.

Funeral services and burial are pending at Clearwater. The family has established a memorial to the First Christian Church in Fairfield.
