SERVICES FOR MRS. A. M. ANDERSON HELD APRIL 17

Funeral services for Mrs. A. M. ANDERSON, 83, a Tekamah resident for nearly 70 years, who died at Oakland Memorial hospital April 15, were held Friday afternoon at the Schafer and Peck funeral home chapel.

The Rev. Carl Beckman, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiated at the service. Burial was in the Tekamah cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roy Hancock, James Goll, Sr., Dee Valder, Neal Bailey, Howard Hanson and A. W. Marquardt.

As Nelle M. WORKMAN, daughter of William B. (sic-William Allen) and Dora HERRING WORKMAN, Mrs. ANDERSON was born February 2, 1870, near Fairfield, Ia.

At the age of 16, Mrs. ANDERSON came to Tekamah with her parents, brothers and sisters, where she has resided since.

She was united in marriage to Arthur M. ANDERSON on August 18, 1897, and to this union three children were born. Mr. and Mrs. ANDERSON celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1947. Mr. ANDERSON preceded her in death on October 9, 1949.

ANDERSON was a member of the Tekamah chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. A. WHEELER of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Benjamin RYAN of Omaha; a son, Ralph M. ANDERSON of Tekamah; a grandson, Ralph M. ANDERSON, Jr., and several nieces and nephews. A son, Dallas Workman ANDERSON, preceded her in death.

Always a kind and generous person, Mrs. ANDERSON will be missed greatly by all those who knew her well.

Note: Her siblings were Lucy Matilda WORKMAN BATES, Lena Leola WORKMAN CHARLTON, Kathrine WORKMAN FINDLEY WHEELER, William B. WORKMAN, Emma WORKMAN, George M. WORKMAN, and Maude WORKMAN. Her family moved from Jefferson County, IA to Tekamah in 1886.
