Inez Mae GLOTFELTY, 102, of 400 S. Highland St., died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gordon Oliver officiating. Following her wishes, the casket will be closed. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may call to sign the guest register from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Libertyville Church of the Brethren.
Mrs. GLOTFELTY was born Jan. 28, 1901, in Jefferson County, the daughter of James Virgil and Daisy M. STERNER WEBB. She married Glenn T. SMITH Dec. 24, 1916. He died in 1954. She married Vernon G. GLOTFELTY in 1958. He died in 1992.
Mrs. GLOTFELTY lived most of her life in and around Fairfield, Stockport, Libertyville, Batavia and Ottumwa. She had lived in Lansing, Mich., for 25 years.
She was a homemaker and a kitchen employee for the Fairfield schools.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin L. SMITH and wife Dawn of Davenport and Lester Merle SMITH of Swartz Creek, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dora DAILEY and Iva HIDY; and three brothers, Wallace, Lester and Russell WEBB.
