Isaac M. Loeffler
December 16, 2003Isaac M. Loeffler, 93, of Keosauqua, died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wedneday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Harold Schnedler officiating. Burial will be in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua.
Visitation will be open from 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service Wednesday.
Memorials to Purdom Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 4204 West Ely, Hannibal, MO 63401.
Mr. Loeffler was born July 6, 1910, in Henry County, the son of Voyle Hayes and Mabel Florence Eschelman Loeffler. He married Esther McCracken Dec. 12, 1934, in Knoxville. She died Aug. 29, 1992.
Mr. Loeffler was a self-employed carpenter and mason who lived and worked most of his life in Van Buren County. He also had lived and worked in Idaho for several years.
Survivors include two daughters, Marlene Nesbit and husband Don of Port Ludlow, Wash., and Myra Crandall and husband Gene of St. Louis, Mo.; one son, Daniel Loeffler and wife Wanda of Hannibal; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one brother, Hollis Loeffler of Keosauqua.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elza and Darrell Loeffler; and one sister, Florence Coon.
