J. MOUGIN Dies At 69

John Francis MOUGIN, 69, died in his sleep early this morning at his home at his home at 807 S. Third St. Arrangements are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home.

MOUGIN was employed at the local Dexter-Philco plant for many years prior to his retirement in February, 1972.

He was born July 31, 1907 at Riverside, the son of Lucien and Ann COSTELLO MOUGIN. He was reared and educated at Riverside, graduating from the University of Iowa in 1931 with a degree in mechanical engineering.

MOUGIN was married April 21, 1936 to Bernadette KNEBEL. She preceded him in death Aug. 30, 1968. Surviving are five sons and four daughters: Melvin, Westminster, Calif.; Louis, LaCrosse (sic - La Crosse), Wis.; Clarence and Robert, Madison, Wis.; Joseph, Newell, Iowa; Jeanette LIVERMORE, Minneapolis, Minn.; Anna Marie MOUGIN, Marion; Rita LOVING, Toldeo, Iowa; Mary Ellen MOUGIN, Fairfield.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and one sister, Patricia HOGAN, Iowa City.
