Mrs. Marion BANKHEAD BROWN of Lockridge died Thursday..... At the home of her son, J. W. BROWN on South Third St., in Fairfield. 78 years of age..... Born in Scotland Apr. 8, 1834, and came to this country when young..... Her husband Mathew Brown passed away about 12 years ago (sic - in 1904). There are three children surviving: J. W. BROWN of Fairfield, Mrs. Ella HERON of Lockridge and Hugh BROWN of Douglas, Ore..... Interment will be in the Lockridge Cemetery.

Admin. note: While her obituary notes she was born in April, her gravestone uses February as does the 1900 census.
