Mary M. KISLING

Mary M. KISLING, 74, of Keosauqua died at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. James McGaffey officiating. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Keosauqua.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials made to Van Buren County Public Health Nursing Service or American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 710 Dodge St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. KISLING was born June 15, 1929, in Fairfield, the daughter of Fay and Eulalia CARLOW CHAMP. She married Robert J. KISLING June 20, 1954, in Fairfield Free Methodist Church.

Mrs. KISLING graduated from Fairfield High School, worked at O'Grady's Cleaners, Woolworths and the telephone office in Fairfield and 18 years in the dietary department at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was a member of Fairfield Free Methodist Church, Beer-Barker Unit No. 494 American Legion Auxiliary and the Cut-up Quilt Club in Keosauqua.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gerald KISLING and wife Jean of Birmingham and Fred KISLING and wife Jane of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathryn and Charlotte CHAMP, both of Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Orin, Jack and Robert CHAMP and two infants; and one sister, Jeanie CHAMP.
