OBITUARY.

August GIESE was born April 16, 1853, at Newstut Provinz, Bradenburg, Germany. At the age of 23, 1877, was joined in marriage to Anna Carline HILDEBRANDT. To this union eight children were born, three of whom have gone on before. He leaves his wife and five children, Earnest GIESE, Mrs. N. STALLMAN, Mrs. E. HOCKETT, Mrs. A. MORAN, Miss Elsie, all of whom were present at the time of death. Also one brother, Charles GIESE, of Lake Benton, Minn. In the spring of 1892 he came to America and settled near Lockridge, Iowa, where he has lived until death called him Tuesday, November 17th, at 4 p.m. The funeral was held at the Trinity Lutheran church on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, of which church he was a member. Interment in Lockridge cemetery.....
