MRS. ELIZABETH HOSETTE (sic - a/k/a HOSATTE). Fairfield, Aug. 8th--Mrs. Elizabeth HOSETTE died Saturday after an illness of only a few days at the home of her son, C. L. HOSETTE near Stockport. Her last illness was due to the infirmities of old age. Elizabeth HISEL-HOSETTE was born in Belgium, France, seventy-two years ago and came with her parents to this country when a girl. She was twice married, the first husband being Jacob PRINCE, who lived only a few years. To them were born two children, both of whom survive their mother. They are Mrs. Mary DROZ who resides near Stockport and Eugene PRINCE who resides in Black Hawk township

Mrs. PRINCE, several years after the death of her husband, was again united marriage to H. C. HOSETTE (sic - Francois Xavier HOSATTE) and made her home on a farm near this city. Twenty-two years ago Mr. HOSETTE died on board a ship while he was returning with Nelson Smith of this city from a trip to the old country. To Mr. and Mrs. HOSETTE were born two children, both of whom are living. They are Mrs. C. W. BAILEY of Pleasant Plain, and C. L. HOSETTE who resides near Stockport.

Besides Mrs. HOSETTE's children she is survived by ten grandchildren and two brothers, Joseph and Louis HISEL both of this city and one sister, Mrs. Mary DALMAS of Wapello. Mrs. HOSETTE was one of the most loveable of women and her deeply religious character was reflected in her life as she lived it every day. She was a devoted member of the Catholic church. The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock at the residence near Stockport. Rev. H. J. Hogan, rector of Saint Mary's Catholic church of this city will have charge of the services. The remains will be laid to rest in Patterson (sic - Pattison) cemetery.
