NOVEMBER HISTORY, by H. Heaton.
Charles KIRK died at Lockridge on the 14th, one of the cruellest and most deplorable deaths in the history of the county, being burned to death by the bursting of a gasoline lamp in his hands. Mr. KIRK was a grandson of Mr. Joseph KIRK, one of the four remaining pioneers of the first year's settlement of the county, and great-grandson of Alexander KIRK, who served as auctioneer in selling the lots of the original plat of Fairfield.
