Rites Saturday for W. LOLLAR

LOCKRIDGE - The funeral service for Wayman Loy LOLLAR will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Weir Funeral Home with Chester Render and Rev. David Kennedy officiating.

LOLLAR, 76, Route 1 Lockridge, died late Tuesday night at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

LOLLARr was born Feb. 1, 1911, at Thompsonville, Ill., to Newton and Roxie ACKLES LOLLAR. He married Beulah L. POOLE on March 25, 1938, in Morganfield, Ky.

A World War II U.S. Army veteran, LOLLAR had been a psychiatric aide at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant and an aide suprevisor in Orpheno, Idaho. He was a member of the New Sweden United Methodist Church near Lockridge, the IOOF and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post of Marion, Ill. He was a past member of the American Legion.

Lollar is survived by his wife, one son Loy R. LOLLAR, and two grandchildren, all of rural Lockridge, and a sister, Ruby BARTLETT of West Frankfort, Ill.

Friends may call as desired beginning at noon Friday at the Weir Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday. A memorial has been established to the New Sweden United Methodist Church.

Interment with full military rites will be in the Grant Cemetery near Rome.
