Larry D. SKINNER

Larry D. SKINNER, 56, of Ottumwa, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday Sept. 16, 2012, at the Jefferson County Health Center after a fight with cancer.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. The remains have been cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for his grandchildren's education fund.

Mr. SKINNER was born May 11, 1956 in Iowa City the son of William S. and Alma COX SKINNER. He married Lou Ann ASH May 15, 1986.

He lived in the Ottumwa area all of his life.

He worked at Performance Pipe in Fairfield for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lou Ann; one son, Carl HAMPTON of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one daughter, Stacie SMITH of Ottumwa; three brothers, William S. SKINNER of Douds, Ronald SKINNER and David SKINNER both of Ottumwa; five sisters, Arlene GUTHRIE, June CARNAHAN, Ruth HENDERSON, Loretta ADAMSON, and Debra HUMBLE all of Ottumwa; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna HAMPTON; a brother, John T. SKINNER; three sisters, Linda KRUSE, Joyce BURKMAN and Emma McELFISH; and one grandson.
