Laura Marie PREVETT, 61, 202½ N. Ninth, died at 4:05 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had suffered a heart attack Sunday, Oct. 7.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foursquare Church with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at noon Thursday. The Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Laura Marie PREVETT was born July 24, 1912, in Wheeler, Texas, the daughter of Edward and Maggie FREEMAN MOORE. She was reared and educated in Iowa and Missouri.
She was married Dec. 24, 1933, to Theodore PREVETT at Peace Valley, Mo. She was a member of the Foursquare Church in Fairfield.
Mrs. PREVETT is survived by her husband; five sons, Clinton who lives in Oregon; George, Hillsboro; Ted, Jr., and Glen both of Ottumwa; and Kenneth, Fairfield; five daughters, Mrs. Violet OSWALT, High Amana; Mrs. Mary ANDERSON, California; Mrs. Esther HUTTON, Mrs. Sharon KOCH and Mrs. Catherine WARD, all of Fairfield.
Other survivors include 26 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Maggie PAGE, Birmingham; and two brothers, William MOORE, Birmingham and Lloyd MOORE, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her father, one son in infancy, one grandchild and one sister.
