Emma Ruth DORITY

Emma Ruth DORITY, 94, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at the Jefferson County Health Center.

Her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date in the Detroit, Mich., area.

Mrs. DORITY was born June 19, 1918, in Raisinville, Mich., the daughter of Frank and Julia HENRY JACKSON. She married Lawrence M. POWELL in Detroit, Aug. 13, 1942. He died Dec. 16, 1964. She married Fred DORITY in 1970 and he died in 1977.

She worked on the Detail Line for Lionel Model Trains, retiring in 1982.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl E. BALAN of Harsens Island, Mich. and Vermeda F. POWELL of Fairfield; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother: Guy JACKSON of Michigan.

In addition to both husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
