Weslie E. OLSON

Weslie E. OLSON, 85, of 416 N. Main St., died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 1991, at Nelson Nursing Home.

He was born March 4, 1906, near Swedesburg, the son of Andrew F. and Anna Sophia CARLSON OLSON. He married Charlotte V. BECKER on Sept. 5, 1931, in Galesburg, Ill. She died Dec. 21, 1984.

OLSON had lived in the Fairfield community since 1975 and was a former Lockridge resident. He was a farmer and was employed by IAAP in Middletown before his retirement.

Surviving are two sons, Richard D. OLSON of Palmdale, Calif., and Wendell E. OLSON of Lockridge; two daughters, Beverly J. OLSON of Fairfield and Shelley C. OLSON of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mamie OLSON of Mount Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Shirley; two brothers, Leonard and Paul OLSON; and two sisters, Ruth OLSON and Esther ORRIS.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
