Catherine 'Joan' MINEART

Catherine "Joan" MINEART, 77, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service is at 6 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Stephen Higden officiating. According to her wishes, the body has been cremated. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will follow service, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials and cards can be sent to1215 (sic - to 1215) Pleasant Plain Road, Brighton 52540.

Mrs. MINEART was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Creston the daughter of Fay Marsh and Aneita Gail ELSE. She married Joseph MINEART Aug. 27, 1966, in Fairfield. He died March 1, 2005.

She was raised by her stepfather Charles Raymond BROWN.

She was a homemaker and worked in food service most of her life. She retired from Hardee's in 1994.

She was a life long resident of the Fairfield area.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda MADRON of Alamogordo, N.M. and Debra HOAGE of Enumclaw, Wash.; two sons, Doug MINEART and spouse Joanna of Allen, Texas, and Craig MINEART and spouse Sherri of Pleasant Plain; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Glenna BLAISDELL of Ravensdale, Wash.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dorothy SIMINGTON.
