HELFENSTINE rites pending

Edith Jane HELFENSTINE, 92, 604 W. Burlington, died at 1:20 a.m. today at the Parkview Care Center where she had been a resident for the past two years.

Services are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Lingwall will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Edith Jane HELFENSTINE was born April 26, 1889, near Glasgow in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Ed and Ada EMERSON LITTON.

She was married to William B. HELFENSTINE Oct. 22, 1925, in Fort Madison. He died July, 1980.

Mrs. HELFENSTINE lived her entire life in Jefferson County. She was empolyed for seven years at the Fairfield Glove Co. and was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jack, Spirit Lake, and Jerry, Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Rhuie WATSON, Fairfield. She was preceded in death by a sister.
