John E. MESSER, retired farmer, died Friday at Nelson Nursing Home, Fairfield. Bur. Evergreen Cemetery. Born July 22, 1875 two miles west of Germanville, son of Adam and Rebecca (ROTH) MESSER. Reared and educated in Lower Richwoods community and married Oct. 30, 1901 Della LYNN at the home of the bride’s parents. Resident of Jefferson County all his life; member Lutheran Church. Wife died June 13, 1937; also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Ernest MESSER, Amarillo, Texas, and Carl MESSER, Fairfield; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
