Behner Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.

Wayne "Woody" WOODSON, age 60, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Keevin Koch officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his grandchildren's education fund. Cards and memorials can be sent to: Rhonda (Boyd) Stutzman 1201 4th St Keosauqua, Iowa 52565.
Woody was born September 20, 1951 in Burlington, to Wayne Orville and Barbara MINOR WOODSON. He served with the United States Army from 1975-1988. He had also worked at Bluebird in Mt. Pleasant and 30 years at Rockwell (Meritor) in Fairfield.
He was a member of the Eagles and Jaycee's (sic) and a Little League and Babe Ruth coach for 17 years. He had been President of Men's Bowling Association of Ottumwa, was an avid bowler and a huge Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Woody is survived by his father: Wayne WOODSON of Mt. Pleasant, girlfriend Rhonda Boyd Stutzman, 3 children: Melissa (Ryan) BROWN of Libertyville, Mike (Tanya) HASSELL of Fairfield and Sean WOODSON of Memphis, Missouri, 5 grandchildren: Zaiden BROWN, Owen HASSELL, Taryn HASSELL, Gavin Hannah and Braezyn Stutzman and 4 siblings: Pauline THORNTON, Tina (Mike) SAMMONS and Dwayne (Toni) WOODSON, all of Mt. Pleasant and Jackie (Angie) WOODSON of Brighton.
