B. PARCELL services

Services for Bessie BROWN PARCELL, 97, longtime resident of Fairfield, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home.

The Rev. Clair Odell will officiate and burial will be in the Brighton Cemetery (sic - Washington Co., IA).

Mrs. PARCELL died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Nelson Nursing Home after she had been in failing health the past three months.

Bessie PARCELL was born July 15, 1883, in Washington County, and had lived in Fairfield for the past 65 years. She was married to Frank PARCELL who preceded her in death. Mrs. PARCELL was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Glenn, Sr., Watseka, Ill., and Seminole, Fla., and Leonard, Fairfield; three daughters, Mildred SPIELMAN CLOW, Faith SLOSSER, both of Fairfield, and Marjorie MUELLEN, Seminole. Fla.; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one daughter.
