Anna M. O'NEILL

The service for Anna M. O'NEILL, 92, Route 1, who died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 1990, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. William Sullivan and the Rev. Karl Holtkamp officiating, assisted by Deacon Peter J. Loving. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The Altar and Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. today at Raymond Funeral Home and prayers for a Christian wake will be recited there at 7:30 tonight. Mrs. O'NEILL was born Feb. 27, 1898, at East Pleasant Plain, the daughter of A.L. and Ella WITKOSKI KELLER. She grew up in that community and attended the Pleasant Plain Academy. She married Francis J. "Pat" O'NEILL Oct. 23, 1920, at Mitchell, S.D. He died Jan. 22, 1970. They lived their entire married life in Fairfield, where she owned and operated the O'Neill Antique Store. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are four daughters, Mary LOVING of Lake Jackson, Texas, Julia WELSH of Bettendorf, JoAnn O'NEILL of Omaha, Neb., Nancy BAIRD of Fairfield; 20 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. A son, John, and 10 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I am not related to the person(s) mentioned.

Note: Buried in Lot 4th.039 with husband Francis. In a cemetery reading from the early 1990s Anna's maiden name was noted as KOLLOCK. It's possible that KELLER is an Americanized version of KOLLOCK; names such as O'Collough or McCollough have over the years at times become the phonetically similar KELLER or KELLEY.
