Death Takes C. D. JUNKIN

Charlie D. JUNKIN, 82, route 4, died about 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Jefferson County Hospital where he was admitted Saturday evening.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Charlie D. JUNKIN was born Aug. 16, 1891, in Jefferson County, the son of Thomas and Hettie BARR JUNKIN. A retired farmer, he was reared and educated in Jefferson County. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

His marriage to Elsie WILSON took place Sept. 17, 1913, in Fairfield. She survives.

In addition to his widow, JUNKIN is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joe SHIMP, Grinnell; one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
