Death Takes E. HENDRICKS

Mrs. Eva HENDRICKS, 79, 605 E. Adams, was stricken at her home Saturday morning while mowing her lawn. She was dead on arrival by ambulance at the Jefferson County Hospital about 11:30 a.m.

The services will be Tuesday, April 20 at 10 a.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. J.E. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. HENDRICKS was born on April 7, 1897 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Joseph and Mary IVORSKIE (sic. IVORSKI) BURKE.

On Oct. 4, 1915, she was married to Roy HENDRICKS. He died June 16, 1962.

She lived all her life in Jefferson County. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. HENDRICKS is survived by three sons, Joe HENDRICKS of Resda, Calif., Leonard (Bud) HENDRICKS of Fairfield and Dan Harrison of Fairfield. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

RKT note: Eva was born April 7, 1897 and died April 17, 1976. Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. 3rd.170. Her husband, Roy, is buried adjacent to her, but his plot is numbered 3rd.151. Sometimes spouses are buried in adjacent plots with differing plot #'s if two grave spaces in the same plot are not bought at the same time when the first spouse dies and is buried.
