Clyde FREE, 79, Taken In Death

Clude FREE, 79, retired farmer and businessman, died Wednesday at 2:40 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital after a serious illness of three and a half days.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Davis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

FREE, who resided at 305 E. Washington, had been a resident of Fairfield for 39 years. He farmed for a number of years and operated a pool hall for 16 years.

FREE was born April 15, 1887, in Jefferson County, the son of Brant and Kate HOLLIDAY FREE. He was married to Carrie WILLIAMS Dec. 25, 1913 at Brighton.

Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Merna REID, Fairfield, and five grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Bluma RANDOLPH, Compton, Calif., also survives. He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, one daughter and two grandchildren.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Clyde C. FREE, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Clyde C. FREE Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 7th day of September, 1966, the last will and testament of Clyde C. FREE deceased bearing date of the 4th day of August, 1966, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that First National Bank in Fairfield, Fairfield, Iowa was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
