Mrs. Helen Hostetler, 89, lifetime resident of Jefferson County, died this morning at Jefferson Co. Hospital. Bur. Lockridge Cemetery. Born Nov 19 1868 at Germanville in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Solomon and Carolina Smith Schmidt; married Sept 1 1897, Joseph Hostetler; he died Dec. 1 1932. Member Hope Lutheran Church. Survived by a daughter Mrs. Frank Stone, a son Arthur Hostetler, Lockridge; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one brother Herman Schmidt, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Geo. Hoefer, El Cajon, Calif.; and Mrs. Lula Limbooker, Muscatine. Preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
