Trudy Pfeiffer, 39, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday evening, Oct. 24, 2003, in her home following a brief illness.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev. Rich Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.

Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 7-8:30 tonight.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 74, Brighton 52540.

Mrs. Pfeiffer was born March 19, 1964, in Iowa City, the daughter of David W. and Linda Wallace Pfeiffer.

Mrs. Pfeiffer grew up in Brighton, attended Washington schools and held several jobs in Washington.

Survivors include her son, Gilbert Simpson; her mother Linda Keasling and stepfather Harold Keasling of Brighton; one sister, Cenie Pfeiffer; and one brother, Robert Pfeiffer, both of Washington.

Her father and grandparents preceded her in death.
