Rosemary McCARTY Died Yesterday Afternoon of Pneumonia

Funeral services for little Rosemary McCARTY, who passed away at her home, 502 North C. street, yesterday afternoon, were held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. U. S. Smith of the First Methodist church. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.

Rosemary McCARTY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross McCARTTY, Jr. (sic. Ross Owen McCARTY, Jr. and Vera McKENZIE McCARTY), was born December 18, 1930. On Friday, March 13, she was taken ill with the flu which later developed into pneumonia. She died at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home.

Besides her parents she is survived by two brothers, Carroll Edward and Owen Kenneth, both at home, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.O. McCARTY (sic. Ross Owen McCARTY Sr. and Rosy H. ZMICH McCARTY) and her great grandmother, Mrs. H. D. KELTNER of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ross McCARTY.

Note: Daughter of Ross O. McCARTY, Jr. and Vera McKENZIE McCARTY. Born on December 18, 1930 and died on March 16, 1931. Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. SDiv.2-014. Her paternal grandparents and her brother Donald are also buried in the same plot. Her brother, Donald, was a child of four years of age when he died on August 6, 1927 from injuries following an accident in his home when the family lived in Des Moines, Iowa.
