JOHN COREY PASSED AWAY IN WAYLAND.

An old resident of Jefferson County, died yesterday morning at his home in Wayland, where he has lived for the past few years since moving from his farm near Germanville. Mr. COREY was born in Sweden 69 years ago and came to this country when he was a young man. He located in Jefferson County and has spent practically all his life here. He enlisted during the Civil War and served in Company M of the Fourth Iowa Cavalry. . . .He is survived by his wife (sic - Sarah C. RUBEY), who is a sister of Mrs. T. S. COPPOCK of this city, and two daughters and five sons. The children are Mrs. Alice CANNON of California, Della and John who lived with the mother, and Milton, Warren, Wesley, Jesse and John COREY. The funeral will be held tomorrow at noon at the Richwoods church.

Admin. note: Buried in Lower Richwoods Cemetery with wife Sarah who died in 1922.
