Mrs. John CARSE died at her home in Pleasant Plain Tuesday Sept. 6, 1910 of heart disease. With her parents, Col. and Mrs. PARKS (sic - PARK), she came to Iowa. A few years later she was married to John CARSE; who preceded her in death. She leaves seven (sic - eight) children: Henry, William, George, Mrs. RIDINGER, Mrs. VOGEL, Mrs. James BARTLETT, and Miss Ethel. She also leaves one brother, S. A. PARKS (sic - PARK) of Kansas City, and one sister Mrs. Lee McGAW of Osceola, Neb. Funeral held yesterday afternoon.

OBITUARY.

Margaretta PARK, eldest daughter of Col. John and Jane PARK, born Jan. 5, 1829 and died Sept. 6, 1910 at her home in Pleasant Plain, Ia., at the advanced age of 81-8-1. Born and lived until she was 13 years old in Huntingdon County, Pa., when she came with her parents to Jefferson County in the year 1842 and which has been her continuous place of residence for the long time of 68 years. Married Feb. 12, 1846 to John CARSE, a prominent man, who preceded her some 15 years ago. To this union eight living children: J.H. CARSE, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. Alice VOGEL, Florence, Neb.; Wm. A. CARSE, Salina, Ia.; Mrs. Anna RIDINGER, Murray, Ia.; Mrs. Amy BARTLETT, Fairfield, Ia.; Mrs. Addie WHITE, Boise, Idaho; George CARSE, El Paso, Texas, and Miss Ethel CARSE, who was with her mother..... Presbyterian Church.....

Note: Buried in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery with husband John who died in 1895.
