Mrs. Mary KNERR died in Brighton Monday morning age 90 y. 16 days. Mary REXROAD was born in Ohio Nov. 18, 1821; married to Valentine KNERR Jan. 2, 1840. Came to Iowa in 1845 and settled on the farm near Germanville and lived there until 1880 when they moved to Fairfield. A few years later moved to Brighton... Husband died there Feb. 26, 1887. She leaves nine children, 29 grandchildren, 33 greatgrandchildren and one great-great grandchild, making 72 in all. Surviving children: Sarah DEY, Brighton; Mary WHISLER, Bloomfield; Geo. W. KNERR, Brighton; Eliza WHISLER, Brighton; Adam KNERR, Wyoming; Wm. KNERR, Mediapolis and Tillie DONOVAN of Fairfield... Bur. Brighton Cemetery.
