Monday, October 20, 1986V. SHIPLEY (sic - SHIPLER) rites Wednesday
BATAVIA - Vera M. SHIPLEY, 77, died Sunday at Jefferson County Hospital.
She was born Dec. 1, 1908, at Batavia, the daughter of Powell and Emma FANSHER MORLEY and had spent her whole life in the Batavia community. She married Melvin SHIPLEY Feb. 14, 1928. He died May 14, 1966. She was a member of United Methodist Church at Batavia and had taught Sunday School there.
Mrs. SHIPLEY is survived by three sons, Harold and David of Batavia, and John of Huntington Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian CARR of Batavia.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel at Batavia with the Rev. Robert Conner officiating. Burial will be in Brethren Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
A memorial will be established.
