DIED AT GERMANVILLE. Mrs. ADLER (sic - EDLER), an aged resident of Walnut township near Germanville, died yesterday at her home from smallpox. The burial occurred yesterday. The event caused considerable excitement in the city because two married sons with their families planned to attend the service then return to Fairfield. Louis ADLER (sic - EDLER) and another brother living in the College addition planned to go. Word was received of this plan by Dr. J. S. Gaumer, who is City Health Officer, and he at once informed the parties of the serious results which would follow should they attend the funeral. The families decided not to go.
