Mary KRUMBOLTZ BERG

Mary KRUMBOLTZ BERG was born near Salina, August 14, 1864. In her infancy she was baptised in the faith of he (sic) Lutheran church and later also confirmed. On March 21, 1893 she was united in marriage with Charles BERG. To this union were born four children, three sons and one daughter. Two sons and the daughter have preceded her in death, having died in infancy.

The deceased was a life-long member of the Lutheran church at Germanville. She led a life consistent with the teachings of her dear church. She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid. She was a kind, charitable Christian woman, who leaves a host of friends to mourn her death.

She was afflicted with diabetes. Then blood poison set in and she was taken to the Jefferson County hospital at Fairfield for treatment and care. But all skill could not stay the hand of death. She was summoned from this world Friday evening, August 27th at 7:30; age fifty-three years and thirteen days.

She is survived by her husband Charles BERG and her son Raymond; five brothers, William KRUMBOLTZ of Salina, George of Ottumwa, Frank of near Fairfield, and Thomas of Batavia.

I am not related to surname.

Admin. note: Born 1853 on her gravestone. She was 53 years old when she died, which coincides with the August, 1867, birth month/year from the 1900 census.
