Jacob F. Fichtner, born Mar. 28 1853 in Walnut township, Jefferson County, Iowa, and died Oct 2 1923 aged 70-6-4. He spent all his life on the farm until about six years ago when he went to Brighton to live. Bur. Hillerest Cemetery, Brighton, Lutheran. Married Emma J. Sinn in 1879. Four children: Walter D., Homer F., Mrs. Adelia Lynn and Elsa.....Leaves wife, four children, 7 grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Geo. F. Koch.
