Harvey SPRAY Taken In Death

Harvey SPRAY, 79, retired Jefferson county farmer, died Sunday at 4:10 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital where he had been a patient for 24 days. He had been seriously ill for the past month.

SPRAY made his home at 809 W. Jackson. He had been a resident of Fairfield for 21 years.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home with the Rev. Harold G. Kruger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

SPRAY was born Aug. 23, 1882 in Jefferson county, the son of Theodore and Rebecca HOLGATE SPRAY. He was married to Gladys YARGUS May 31, 1923.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Ernest SPRAY, Fairfield; Edward SPRAY, Milan, Minn.; Clarence SPRAY, Griswold; John SPRAY, Huntsville, Ala.; and Mrs. Richard ELDER, Muscatine.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two sisters: Mrs. Anna McELWEE and Mrs. Ethel BYCZEK, both of Lockridge. Two brothers, one son and one daughter are deceased.
