ISAIAH J. SPRAY DIED AT OTTUMWA
Was A Resident of Jefferson County Up Until 14 Year Ago (sic)

Isaiah J. SPRAY, a former Fairfield resident, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home in Ottumwa. Funeral services wll be held from the Free Methodist church Fairfield, tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. F. M. Smith officiating.

The decedent was born in Jefferson county, June 1, 1858 and up to 14 years ago, at which time he moved to Ottumwa, he was a resident of this place.

He is survived by his wife, a son, A. T. SPRAY of Fairfield and a daughter, Mrs. May (sic - Lillie Mae) KETCHAM of Ottumwa.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, in Lot 3rd.059. His wife was Eunice Lovina WRIGHT who died in 1930 and is buried with him.

In the burials listing for Evergreen Cemetery 1870-1990, Isaiah is noted as born on June 17th, not the 1st; unknown what the source is for this date. Will go with the 1st until more convincing proof is found.
