BRIGHTON ENTERPRISE, Thurs. July 3, 1930 (1-2).

Ralph Peck, 24 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peck, southeast of Pleasant Plain, died Sunday evening. Measles and complications. Survived by parents and the following brothers and sisters: Anton Peck, Fairfield; Mrs. Ed. Ledger, East Pleasant Plain; Martha, Richard, Bernard and Evalyn at home. Funeral Wed. morning at St. Mary’s church…..

DEATHS

RALPH PECK

Ralph PECK, the 23-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles PECK, residing near East Pleasant Plain passed away last evening about 8:30 oclock after being ill for the past three weeks with the measles and complications.

He is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Anton UECK (sic) of Fairfield, Mrs. Ed. LEDGER of east Pleasant Plain, Martha, Richard, Bernard and Evelyn at home.

OBITUARY

Ralph Joseph PECK

Ralph Joseph PECK, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles PECK, was born near East Pleasant Plain, Jan. 28, 1906 and departed this life, June, 29, 1930, at the age of 24 years, 5 months, and 1 day. He has been a patient sufferer for the past five years with epilepsy, but has improved very much in the past year, until he was taken down with the measles just three weeks before he died. He was up for two days and other complications set in and he was confined to his bed for eleven more days until the end came on Sunday evening, June 29, at 8:45 o'clock.

Besides his parents he leaves to mourn his loss the following brothers and sisters, Anthony PECK of west of Fairfield, Mrs. Edd LEDGER of East Pleasant Plain. Martha, Richard, Bennie and Evelyn at home. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church at Polishville. Rev. Frances Gelshi (sic - GELSKI) of Chicago, a cousin, wasn't able to be present so we failed having a solemn high mass, so Rev. J. K. Kopczynski was celebrant of the mass Rev. J. H. Courtney of Victor, Ia. spoke the funeral sermon.

The pall bearers were all cousins of the deceased. Ambrose PECK, Max PECK, Aderine KASKA, George KASKA, Edmund ZELINSKI, and Joseph WITKOSKI.

He was laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.
