HEDRICK -- A service was conducted at 11 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 20, 1991, in Richland for Clyde J. KESSEL, 55, of Hedrick, who died Sept. 18 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

Officiating at the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church was the Rev. James Grubb. Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery near Ollie.

KESSEL was born April 18, 1936, in Brighton to Leonard and Elsie LEDGER KESSEL. He was married to Trilla Ann WEBER in Richland on Feb. 12,1955.

He graduated from Ollie High School in 1953 and had lived in Hedrick for 30 years where the couple farmed and ran a dairy operation. He had been employed currently by the Bob Sterling Farms. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ottumwa.

Survivors are his wife; one son, Richard of Hedrick; one daughter, CeCilia ADAM, and a grandson, Aaron ADAM, of Richland; two foster children, Tracie WATTS and Herb GREENFIELD; five brothers, Harold of Joetown, EuGene of Ollie, Howard of Kirksville, Mo., Carroll of Davenport, and Dwight of Nichols; and three sisters, Isabel RICH of Mount Pleasant, Beatrice REYNOLDS of Panora and Marian WONDERLICH of Centerville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Chris.
