Marie KESSEL

Marie I. KESSEL, 77, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at her home, 707 S. Fourth Street.

Funeral services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, East Pleasant Plain. Prayers for Christian Wake will be Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home.

Mrs. KESSEL was born March 19, 1902 in Pleasant Plain, the daughter of George and Teresa POLIS DRISH. She married Clarence J. KESSEL Nov. 28, 1923. He died Aug. 17, 1974. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Mrs. KESSEL had lived in the Fairfield community for more than 55 years.

Survivors include a son, George J. KESSEL, Fairfield; nine grandchildren; five sisters, Agnes KURTZ, Frances ROBERTS, both of Brighton, Anna Mae STINSON, Pinellas Park, Fla., Viola GEVOCK, Fort Madison, Evelyn HUGHES, Xenia, Ohio; three brothers, Charles DRISH, Brighton, Hubert DRISH, Bloomfield, N.J., Willliam DRISH, Pleasant Plain.
