MRS. CASE DIES OF PNEUMONIA

Funeral Services At Behner-Dudgeon Thursday At 2:30 P.M.

Mrs. Clarke Anna CASE, 78, passed away at 8 p.m. yesterday at the Jefferson county hospital. She had been ill for the past week with pneumonia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m at the Behner-Dudgeon funeral home in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. CASE was born in Jefferson county Dec. 29, 1858. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elmer GROVE and Mrs. Ray GROVE five granddaughters, and one great-grandson. For the past ten years she has been making her home with her granddaughter Mrs. Fred ROBINSON, on W. Hempstead. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore CASE, Oct. 29, 1918.

OBITUARY

MRS. CLARKE ANNA CASE

Clarke Anna FIERCE was the daughter of Clark and Lorena FIERCE. She was born in Jefferson county near Wooster, Dec. 29, 1858, where her earlier days were spent. After the death of her husband she moved to Fairfield where she resided until she passed away Dec. 15, 1936, at the Jefferson county hospital. She was ill only eight days with pneumonia.

She was married to Theodore CASE April 25, 1876. Two children were born to them, both of whom survive: Mrs. Elmer GROVE and Mrs. Ray GROVE, both of Fairfield. She leaves five grandchildren: Mrs. Harry COOK of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Raymond BUTLER of Ottumwa; Lois and Katherine GROVE of Fairfield and Mrs. Fred ROBINSON of Fairfield, with whom she made her home for the past ten years. She also leaves one great-grandson Richard Paul BUTLER of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct. 29, 1918.

Mrs. CASE was a member of the Ebenezer Christian church and always lived in accordance with its teachings. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

The funeral services wre held at the Dudgeon-Behner funeral home Thursday Dec. 17, 1936 at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. S. P. Williamson of the First Christian church conducted the last rites in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. Mrs. S. P. Williamson and Mrs. Norvell Switzer sang two hymns "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden" accompanied by Miss Amy Williamson. The pallbearers were Howard J. Routson, L. S. McGuire, Chester Fry, Hubert Fry, Ira Westenhaver and Roy Anderson. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
