M. JOHNSON rites Wednesday

Marshall J. JOHNSON, 82, 405 S. Main, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Jefferson County Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m.a Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clair Odell and the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Lions will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the church to attend the funeral as a group. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Masonic services wil be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home. Visitation will follow.

JOHNSON was born Nov. 12, 1903 in Fairfield, the son of John and Cora JAQUES JOHNSON. He married Juanita P. WOELLHAF July 26, 1932 in Downers Grove, Ill. She survives, as do several cousins.

JOHNSON had lived his entire life in the Fairfield community. The secretary-treasurer of Farifield Lumber Company, he had been affiliated with the company for 59 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clinton Masonic Lodge 15, Fairfield Shrine Club, and a past president of Fairfield Lions Club. He was a 40-year Lion Member, Old Monarch, a member of Elks Lodge 1192, Fairfield Country Club and life member of Walton Club.
