Leola Martine RAINS

Leola Martine RAINS, 92, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Crown Point Health and Rehab Center in Horseshoe Bend.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church in Horseshoe Bend, Ark., with the Rev. Nancy Cameron officiating.

Memorials may be made to Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church.

Mrs. RAINS was born June 9, 1919, in Clifton, Kan., the daughter of Frank and Zelpha NEWELL. She married Dean Wilbur RAINS Sept. 22, 1936, in Clay Center, Kan.

Mrs. RAINS was a homemaker and a librarian for many years. She also owned a fitness gym and worked for a florist and the MRID in Horseshoe Bend.

Mrs. RAINS was a member of Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Mary Circle and Beta Sigma Phi.

She enjoyed making crafts and gardening.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy BILES and husband Craig of Wallace, Calif., and Candy DELARGY and husband Gary of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; two grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Newell J. RAINS; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
