DEATHS

Charlie LISK

Charlie LISK, age 55 years, passed away at the county home yesterday morning at 1 o'clock. He was formerly of Delta moving to Packwood about 12 years ago.

He is survived by his wife and four children, also nine brothers and sisters, living in or near Oskaloosa.

The body is at the Murray Funeral home. Arrangements of the funeral services are pending the arrival of relatives.

Note: The newspapers were searched for a period of three weeks after this obituary was printed but no follow-up obituary or notice was found. According to his death record Charlie (a/k/a Charlie or Charles) was buried in Tioga Cemetery in Mahaska County, IA. In a listing of Jefferson County Deaths (1921-1939), Charley LISK was born October 13, 1875, in Iowa, and died October 19, 1930, aged 55 years and 6 days. He was a farmer, and a son of Joseph LISK and Nancy WARRICK. The informant was Mrs. George Barthlow of Oskaloosa, IA; unknown at this point whether/how she was related to him. His wife was Emma Viola WILLIAMS.
